Hosting backup files and downloadable resources on the Web

Have you ever needed electronic files from the office when you are at a client's office or your working at home ? We have an Online Data Backup facility. This is a hosted service with web access to your files on a secure server, With a valid login and password you can access the files already uploaded, downloading them when required. This reduces the risk of your important data being stolen.

You can grant work groups access to these folders or files. Simply notify the person by email, they then follow the link to the file where they can download it instantly. This is useful where the file size can be excessive, i.e. over 5MB. The maximum single file download limit is 1GB, the space available can be up to 300GB. How much space you take is up to you. You pay only for the amount of space used. There are no download limits (bandwidth) although a fair use policy does apply to prevent abuse.

The Online Data Backup facility is available to both Mac and PC users.

We use the service to allow clients to access our resources by issuing the login and password. You can login whenever you want to download the files or to see if they have been updated/revised.

Web E-mail solutions

Web E-mail systems can relieve you of a big headache. The data and accounts are held on a secure server with a daily back up. You can configure your Web E-mail system to monitor email content, advising you of any violations. If you reach your account limit you can archive emails safely and retrieve them instantly if needed.

From point of log on to your Web E-mail account the connection is secure. Your e-mails are filtered for spam and all E-mails are virus checked before you open them. Infected files and junk mail will never reach your account.

Online Support

Visitors to your website are looking for information or as potential customers. If they cannot find the information they need or your layout is confusing they are likely to leave and not return.

Online Support is provided by including a link from you page to one of your staff who are online. Your visitor can initiate a live chat with you in a private chat room. All transcripts are emailed to you for reference and follow up.

The visitor joining a chat does not need any software on their PC to participate. This system is easy to use for both sides. Integration to your web site is straight forward.

You may have Small Business Server (SBS) installed on your file server, in which case you can access data files away from the office.

If you don't have this software a number of options are available. You may consider hosting mirror copies of your files to an Online Data Backup service hosted at a secure location where you gain access from your web browser.

Another alternative is to install software on the PC allowing entry from a remote PC, taking control and the ability to work on the files.
